Brother MFC-J625DW Pro Reviews

PC World‘s review Edit

If your printing and scanning needs are modest, the Brother MFC-J625DW is an affordable way to handle them. Everything it does, it does well, though the lack of duplex scanning will make scanning long two-sided documents tedious.

printercomparison‘s review Edit

The wireless Brother MFC-J625DW all-in-one could be useful if you're a consumer or small business user looking for a fast printer with a lot of functionality. But we wouldn't recommend it to users who are looking for exceptional photo quality. The colors and contrast in this device isn't up to par with other products in its class. You can see inconsistencies when you compare two of the same photos together (when one is the original photo and the other is printed from this device), such as the royal purple color looking reddish purple instead. The colors also weren't as vibrant and bright as they should be. Plus, this printer isn't compatible with most high-gloss photo paper. It can't physically grab heavier brands of high gloss paper (we verified this with a Brother customer service representative). Meaning standard, flimsier paper will have to used. However, if photo printing doesn't mean that much to you, this product could hold up in an office environment for several reasons. It can provide some of the fastest printing we've seen in this class, and it has a simple wireless setup that takes mere seconds. The J625DW can also help save you money by providing low energy usage and extended toner life. We were able to print 307 black and white and color pages until we had to change the standard capacity ink cartridges.
