HP Photosmart 5510 Pro Reviews

Macworld‘s review Edit

Removing software features that already exist, cost nothing, and save time and paper is misguided—and that’s by far the kindest adjective I could think of. Hopefully, HP will rethink this decision and I’ll be able to recommend the Photosmart 5510 as the bargain it should be. In the meantime, I’ll recommend that you opt instead for a basic inkjet MFP that carries a more helpful, environmentally responsible driver, the Epson Stylus NX430, say, or the Brother MFC-J430w. Or check out the otherwise identical HP Photosmart 5514, which includes an auto-duplexer for only $20 more.

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

The HP Photosmart 5510 is a worthwhile purchase if you can acquire it for less than the $100 retail tag. Among HP's competition at its list price, the Epson Stylus NX430 is a better option that gets pages out faster with the added benefits of manual double-sided printing and a larger paper input capacity tray. If you have your choice between both at the same price, your money is better spent on the Epson Stylus NX430.

Despite minor awkwardness with paper support and the SD card slot, overall this is an excellent all-in-one printer

Small, sleek and perfectly good enough for most home users – a bargain of an all-in-one

HP did very well for itself in our recent reviews of its DeskJet budget all-in-ones and this Photosmart 5510 does the same for home and photo-enthusiast customers. In all the important areas, it goes much further than most of its rivals, from its touchscreen controls to its high-quality print and low-cost consumables. Slight problems with the paper stop and card slot don't detract enough to prevent a recommendation.

The HP PhotoSmart 5510 e-All-in-One has good speed for a budget MFP, a touch-screen interface, and ePrint capabilities.
