HP unveiled their new 2311gt HD monitor today. The screen measures 23 inches and uses passive 3D technology. It has full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution and a 5ms response time. The passive technology uses polarized lenses, which is similar to the 3D technology used in the theaters. HP has included a dual pair of 3D glasses as well. The connection panel includes RGB, DVI, and an HDMI port. This gives the monitor the ability to act like an HDTV, but with limitations. Other major features include a 250 cd/m2 brightness, 2D-to-3D conversion, and a TN LCD display panel. HP stated that the 2311gt will be available soon in the UK.
