It isn't the prettiest or flashiest 2011 board out there, but I don't think you'd be able to guess how powerful it is just by looking at it either. There are many other 2011 boards that are currently available and I feel that this one represents the very best bang for your buck. I would like to see Biostar work on their esthetics, but only if they can keep their costs down. If that isn't possible then I think they should just stick with their rather basic looking design. For most users they're only going to see the board if they're working on it or if they happen to have a clear side window. You also have to take into account that once you have your CPU heat sink installed, along with all of your other hardware, most of the motherboard will be covered up anyway. This is even true of the more flashy looking motherboards. So what's the point in putting all of the effort into making it look flashy in the first place? I guess there are those that do prefer flash to substance. This isn't that board and you should probably look elsewhere to waste your money. The BIOSTAR X79 Tpower motherboard is shoe in for the Top Value Award here on Motherboards.org as its priced at a very affordable level, good overclocking options, performs on par with more expensive boards and has enough features to satisfy many different user groups.
