HP Photosmart 7510 e-All-in-One Pro Reviews

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

The Photosmart 7510 is an excellent printer for home offices and families that will take advantage of its wireless printing features like ePrint and Google Cloud Print. You can downgrade to the Photosmart 5510 if you don't see yourself using the ePrintCenter apps, but with more coming down the pike every day, it's worth it to put forth the extra $50 to make your purchase future-proof.

The HP Photosmart 7510 e-All-in-One is a winner in my opinion. It offers customers creative features that no other manufacturer can match as of this writing while still providing quick print speeds and quality prints. I love HP ePrint, the plethora of apps, the large (and responsive) touchscreen display and even the design of the Photosmart 7510. I did have some issues but there are work arounds, the main one being the terrible photo software. It's a great idea to give customers a fun, creative software that allows them to make picture books and other projects at home. But there should also be some sort of photo software that allows these same customers to easily print photos from the brand new printer they just purchased. Also, ink can be expensive, especially when looking at the high capacity cartridges. This is probably the biggest negative for this device.

If you're looking for excellent print quality in a low-cost all-in-one, the HP Photosmart 7510 is well worth considering. The text print quality using the Best quality mode is as good as we’ve seen with an inkjet printer. Photos printed on photo paper look terrific. And this model comes equipped with both Wi-Fi and an ADF, making for a very good feature mix at this price point. That said, bear one important thing in mind before you buy: You will have to pay a higher price per page for your printouts than with some competing machines, though buying HP's large-capacity cartridges will help, if you're willing to commit to that. Also note that there’s no Ethernet port on this machine, and the paper-output tray has a somewhat meager capacity. But so long as these are not big issues for you, you may well find this printer a fine bargain for light duty. For small and home offices that don't do a high volume of printing, and whose shoppers are attracted to the low purchase price, the HP Photosmart 7510 is very much worth short-listing.

The HP Photosmart 7510 has a novel design, but also a very useful feature set, with duplex print, twin paper trays, wireless connection and both ePrint and Airprint to make it particularly easy to print from. Running costs are good and print quality only drops slightly in comparison with some earlier HP models. Print speeds aren’t all that HP believes, but this machine is still good value at the price.

The HP PhotoSmart 7510 e-All-in-One provides good photo quality and reasonably fast speed, a large touch-screen interface, and ePrint capabilities.

With print quality very high and prices ultra-low, what can multifunction printer manufacturers do to improve on previous models? This new HP Photosmart 7510 sets itself apart by offering a huge range of features, but it also leaves a few behind.

Macworld‘s review Edit

HP's Photosmart 7510 does not follow this season’s trend of tacking on CD/DVD printing—available in models from simple, sub-$100 inkjets to $400 flagships. But not everyone needs that feature, and the Photosmart 7510 is easy to use and good at just about everything else a home or home office user might want.
