Dell Inspiron One 2320 Touch Pro Reviews

itreviews‘s review Edit

Powerful All in One PC with a decent feature set, but there are some better-equipped competitor’s models, around the same price point.

I know I've been ragging on the Inspiron One 2320's general build, but it's not such a bad system if you're on a budget. You get some premium specs, including a big hard drive, a lot of RAM, and Blu-ray playback capability, as well as solid performance, for a few hundred dollars less than other systems. But you will have to live with the cheap-looking design, an inaccurate touchscreen, and the lack of USB 3.0 if you decide to go the budget route.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

The Dell Inspiron One 2320 wins us over with its combination of category-leading performance right now and entertainment features that will keep the all-in-one in use for years. A few omissions, like the lack of HDMI output and USB 3.0, might be a deal breaker for some, but most will be able to overlook it. Even with these flaws the Inspiron Omni 2320 is a fine system that should satisfy most computer shoppers, and it surpasses our previous Editors' Choice Sony VAIO VPC-L231FX/W.

This compact all-in-one from Dell is surprisingly powerful, although rivals offer a higher spec for not much more money

The Dell Inspiron One 2320 boasts an attractive design, excellent performance for the price, and a wide variety of video inputs. Its only major drawback as an entertainment hub, though, is its display. And it's a big one, because, in a very real sense, an all-in-one PC is its display. We see a lot of desktop and laptop screens, and we generally are quite accepting of what we see on modern machines. With the Inspiron One 2320, however, the video-image quality was clearly subpar in our tests, particularly when watching HD video. Sitting at an average desk-distance from the screen, the pixel grid was visible in many scenes, which was distracting. Dell sells most of its computers direct from its Web site, which can make it difficult to try a given system before you buy. But Best Buy does sell an Inspiron One 2320 model, so we'd suggest taking a trip down to your local Best Buy store, if you have one within striking distance, to check out the Inspiron One 2320 with your own eyes and form your own opinion of the screen. It's possible that you will be more forgiving of display quality than we were. (You may well be, if you're still using an old CRT monitor or an early-era LCD as your basis of comparison.) Also, if you don’t plan on using the PC to watch much video, this may be a minor issue for you. If you can look past the screen issue, this all-in-one is otherwise a very capable system. If you value actual computing power in a compact computer over flashy features or a stunning screen, you might indeed find it a winner.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

Any complaints we have about the Dell Inspiron One 2320 tend to be easily dismissed as requirements of desktop gamers. For everyone else, Dell is providing a well-packaged all-in-one touchscreen computer that lives up to that name.

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

While I'd like to see faster performance from this system given its competition in the same price range, Dell has overachieved in the variety of connections going into and out of its new Inspiron One 2320 all-in-one. And even if it's not the fastest all-in-one out there for $1,200 or so, its performance is robust enough that you can still feel confident playing games or performing basic digital media editing tasks. I wouldn't recommend this system over the Lenovo IdeaCentre B520 for dedicated gamers, but this Dell is a solid buy for consumers looking for a general purpose all-in-one.
