www.computeractive.co.uk‘s review Edit

Despite a couple of duplexing eccentricities, this is a good all-in-one multifunction device with Kodak's headline low-running costs. .

The latest range of Kodak all-in-ones get off to a good start with the hero 5.1. It’s a neat machine with duplex print, direct print from card, camera and USB drive and remote print from any email-ready device, if you want it. Needs a bit more control of emailed images, though.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

At just under a hundred quid, the Kodak Hero 5.1 is an all-in-one printer, copier and scanner that’s a little pricier than similarly specified machines. With low running costs and excellent quality results though, it’s the perfect choice as a family printer.

Kodak has consolidated its position well with the introduction of the hero range and although this is the entry-level machine, it's well specified with duplex print, card and PictBridge sockets and a decently sized LCD. Print quality is well above average and speed is also fair, so heros look set to continue squeezing other manufacturers in the crowded consumer all-in-one marketplace.
