Sharp is proud to announce that they have been selected to receive a 2012 Excellence in Energy Efficient Product Design Award from the U.S. Environment Protection Agency Energy Star Program. The award was given to Sharp for their efforts to promote energy efficiency with consumer electronics like HDTVs. One of the products that was highlighted was the LC-80LE632U, which was being called the most energy-efficient flat-panel TV available today. If bigger is better, Sharp beats the competition over the head with the introduction of the first 80-inch consumer HDTV, the LC-80LE632U. The largest screen size offered by competitors is 65-inches. Features include thin bezels, Internet connectivity, 1080p resolution, 120 Hz, Full Array LED backlighting and Sharp’s own 10-bit X-Gen LCD panel.
This huge HDTV also features streaming net services including Cinema Now, Netflix, and VUDU. In addition, there is live customer support accessible through the 80LE632′s built-in Wi-Fi connectivity.
