ZTE Tania coming to China soon, processor upgraded to 1.4 Ghz

Unwiredview reports that the ZTE Tania may be less than 10 days away from shipping in China.
ZTE sales director Wei Xiaodong told CNMO that the Tania will be in Chinese stores before the end of this month.
The handset from the Chinese company has so far only been distributed in UK and Europe.
The smartphone will see an interesting specs update prior to its release there – instead of a 1 Ghz processor it will now sports a 1.4 Ghz processor – an interesting choice when the handset’s main weakness is its 4GB storage rather than the more generous 8 GB or 16 GB.

ZTE is launching its ZTE Tania Windows Phone 7 handset in the UK, looking to appeal to those who want to go Windows Phone without spending a packet.
The ZTE Tania was announced in China back in September 2011, but now joins the likes of Nokia, Samsung, HTC, LG and possibly Acer, in offering a Windows Phone in the UK.

ZTE is a Chinese company that’s in the exact same boat Huawei was in just a few short years ago, and that HTC was in going as far back as the late 1990s. All three of these Asian companies make mobile phones, but their first customers weren’t people, they were the corporations we so lovingly call wireless operators. It took a lot of commitment from HTC to develop their own brand and eventually the Sense UI that differentiates them today in the Android world. The same can be said for Huawei, who just recently announced that they’re going to open up a design shop in London and will be selling their branded devices unlocked in retail stores.
