Philips GoGear Connect 3 8GB Pro Reviews

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

As I said up front, if you can find a way to pick this up for $99, there's a lot of fun to be squeezed from it. The sound quality is surprisingly good, and you can load it up with enough basic games and puzzles to keep a child entertained for hours. At a $179, though, the GoGear Connect 3 delivers more grief than gratification. If you need a $199 pocket media player, the iPod Touch reigns supreme. For the best value, grab a Kindle Fire.

PC World‘s review Edit

Though it boasts superior audio playback over the Galaxy Players, the Philips GoGear Connect 3 falls flat in everyday performance. The low-end specs will severely limit the GoGear's flexibility as well as the types of apps you can download, and the omission of expandable storage is regrettable. Priced at only $20 less than an entry-level fourth-generation iPod Touch, the GoGear just doesn’t offer enough for shoppers to choose it over Apple’s media player.
