HP EliteBook Mobile Workstation 8560w Pro Reviews

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

The HP EliteBook 8560w is the go-to workstation laptop when you need performance and power to spare. It offers quad-core processing, ISV-certified graphics, and a laundry list of top-notch features.

Notebookcheck‘s review Edit

The strengths of the EliteBook 8560w-LG660EA clearly prevail. The combination of Intel's dual core processor and AMD's professional graphics card speeds up most applications perfectly. The FirePro M5950 is also impressive even aside from CAD programs. Like our benchmarks prove, the 15 inch laptop is even suitable for the latest games. Beyond that, we have the robust and connectivity-eager case that can score with great input devices and a high-end screen on the pro side. (Users with image or video editing ambitions should take a model with DreamColor technology). Security is also an important issue. HP has installed a number of software and hardware solutions. Small details such as the long warranty period (three years) and the included recovery DVD add sympathy points.

PC World‘s review Edit

A record-setting WordlBench performance is backed up with excellent features, but the 15.6-inch display is small for its 1080p resolution.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

Though the display is a bit small for the chores users normally perform at a workstation, the HP EliteBook 8560w is otherwise a very capable unit, and it's affordably priced for its ilk.

LAPTOP Magazine‘s review Edit

The HP EliteBook 8560w provides fantastic workstation performance and a gorgeous 1080p display in an attractive and durable package. However, we highly recommend a pre-configured model to our pricey configuration. Some may prefer the Lenovo ThinkPad W520 workstation because it offers much longer battery life along with a better pointing stick. But if you want a more modern design and better audio quality to go along with your muscle, the EliteBook 8560w is a smart choice.

HP's versatile EliteBook 8560w shows that a mobile workstation can be rugged and a solid performer and still look good.
