nVIDIA GeForce GTX 275 Pro Reviews

HotHardware‘s review Edit

In the end, we think the GeForce GTX 275 is a solid offering from NVIDIA. If you're in the market for a high-performing graphics card and don't have an unlimited budget, the GeForce GTX 275 has plenty to offer for 250 bucks. Unfortunately, cards may not be widely available in every region for a couple of weeks. NVIDIA expects consumers in some regions to be able to purchase cards today, but it won't be until April 14 that cards become widely available.

HEXUS‘s review Edit

NVIDIA, has been labouring the whole GPGPU message for a while, proclaiming that its cards do more than paint pretty-looking pixels. Тhe £199 GeForce GTX 275's overall proposition is still compelling enough to make it worthy of serious consideration.

HardwareZone‘s review Edit

As the benchmarks show, the GeForce GTX 275 is more than a capable performer. Clearly a notch above the GTX 260+, it also has enough oomph to trouble even the GeForce GTX 285, which says quite a bit on its potential. More importantly, however, it is substantially faster against its intended competitor - the Radeon HD 4890.

Tom's Hardware‘s review Edit

The bottom line is that, the GeForce GTX 275 looks a lot like a GeForce GTX 285 at those two lower resolutions (1680x1050 and 1920x1200). The GTX 275 is generally a little faster than the Radeon HD 4890, too. And if Nvidia’s pricing projections turn out to be accurate, the GTX 275 will be priced similarly as well.

Tom's Hardware‘s review Edit

Given the GTX 275’s rather substantial clock speed advantage, is that you’ll quite easily outmode a GTX 295 using a couple of 275s - often with frame rates that are 10% higher or more. Moreover, the single-GPU cards are actually cheaper than the premium dual-GPU board. The direction you take your own gaming system will naturally depend on a number of different variables, and the practicality of a GeForce GTX 295 might outweigh the performance advantages of two GTX 275s.

hardwarecanucks‘s review Edit

While there are a few faults with the GTX 275, they don’t stop it from being one hell of a card. It simply smokes the HD 4890 in the majority of the high resolution tests we conducted which means that we could finally have a sub-$300 card on our hands that can give playable framerates on 30" monitors. That in itself is an achievement.
