HP LaserJet Pro 100 color MFP M175nw Pro Reviews

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

While the LaserJet Pro 100 Color MFP M175a is noticeably cheaper than some of the new LED-based multifunction machines, and quicker at printing black text pages, it's very slow at colour and costs more to run per ISO page than just about any colour printer we've tested. The print quality is fine, but we would be reluctant to pick this machine, unless the need for colour pages was very occasional.

HP's LaserJet 100 M175nw comes at a decent price and offers good quality and acceptable running costs - and the space-saving aspect of its compact size will be appreciated in smaller offices. However, its slow printing and scanning performance will be frustrating if it's shared by more than a handful of users.

We fully recommend this product for numerous reasons. The HP LaserJet Pro M175nw is not only a reliable 3-in-one product, but it's compact, offers speedy monochrome prints times that are of good quality, has wireless network connectivity, and also has some great features such as ePrint technology and a 35-sheet ADF. Moreover, we didn't come to any shocking results during our tests to deter us from recommending the M175nw.

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

The HP LaserJet Pro 100 boasts a smart feature set and a compact design that meets the needs of home users on a budget. You get print, scan, and copy functionality in one device, along with wired and wireless networking, an ADF, HP ePrint, and a dead-simple setup procedure. As long as you don't mind waiting a little longer for your prints to come out, the LaserJet Pro 100 is an excellent value for the cost.

Although the LaserJet Pro 100 is a very capable small office colour laser MFP, its running costs are too high.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

Setup can be problematic. The installer software used to connect it to your Wi-Fi network doesn't run in Lion and is flaky in Snow Leopard. Chances are you'll have to do it manually, which isn't easy if you're not used to Wi-Fi networking. It also lacks a card reader, has only manual Duplex and a two-line mono LCD screen. On the positive side, it offers Ethernet and USB, has a small footprint, and offers AirPrint, ePrint and direct wireless printing. Even so, there's little reason to buy it over a similarly featured inkjet MFD.

This streamlined color laser makes excellent documents and photos, but its slow color output and pricey toner may give heavy-printing small offices pause.

The HP LaserJet Pro 100 Color MFP M175nw sports a low price tag, but it makes you pay in other ways, from time idling as you wait for output to appear, to high toner costs.
