Brother MFC-J825DW Pro Reviews

expertreviews‘s review Edit

With its comprehensive set of features this MFP is a jack of all trades. It's pretty quick, but the results are unremarkable

The Brother MFC-825dw blows the MFC-J6710dw out of the water in print quality, print reliability and price while continuing to offer plenty of features such as a touchscreen, front side USB port, automatic duplexing, web connected applications and built-in wireless. The biggest concern I have is that Brother felt the need to advertise such inflated print speeds - I have never come across an inkjet printer priced under $200 that can actually print 25 ppm, let alone 35 ppm. And the paper cassette was on the small side, a concern for businesses with a decent sized print flow. Overall, I feel that the Brother MFC-J825dw could be an excellent addition to a home office or small workgroup but I'm still weary of recommending it to business or a medium sized workgroup due to a small paper capacity and average print speeds.

You can't fault Brother for the facilities offered by the MFC-J825DW: duplex print, direct CD/DVD print and easy print and scan from a mobile device are all very welcome. Photo printing is still fiddly, though and the main concern is print quality, which is not as good as from most of the machine's main rivals.

The Brother MFC-J825DW offers a long list of features for both home and office needs, making it a strong contender for the dual role of home and home office MFP.

An inkjet multifunction printer bedecked with a few advanced features, the MFC-J825DW is a worthy contender for your low-volume, small-office bucks.

This peppy little $149 all-in-one printer has all the features home businesses and small offices look for. It's a great value if you can stomach the slightly high ink costs.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

An inkjet multifunction printer bedecked with a few advanced features, the Brother MFC-J825DW is a worthy contender for your low-volume, small-office bucks. The Kodak ESP Office 2170 offers cheaper inks, but it's much slower and lacks automatic duplexing.
