Panasonic PT-AT5000 Pro Reviews

www.whathifi.com‘s review Edit

The PT-AT5000E is simple to set-up thanks to powered lens and focus controls and, once that’s done, we were struck by the 3D quality. There’s impressive depth and stability, and crosstalk is minimised more effectively than by any rival at this price. The 3D glasses are fine and keep in sync with the picture without issue. Crucially, the strong 3D performance has an excellent 2D image on which to build. Thor on Blu-ray shows natural, realistic colours, yet is still capable of delivering bright and punchy scenes, while fast motion is delivered without blurring or judder. Free of noise and uncovering bags of detail, we can find little to complain about. This could well be the best projector we’ve ever seen at this price.

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

In the end, living with Panasonic’s debut 3D projector has been a great if slightly unexpected experience. For while by any comparative measure the AT5000 is a great projector with both 2D and 3D, its 2D pictures have proved so delicious in terms of their brightness and colour punch that we’ve felt slightly less inclined than anticipated to choose to watch something in 3D rather than 2D. Still, in a way even this fits in perfectly with what’s really special about the AT5000.

AVForums‘s review Edit

Overall, the Panasonic PT-AT5000 has been a real surprise package that is likely to blow the market wide open for those looking for excellent 3D images mixed with superb 2D performance and the added advantage of 2.35:1 viewing with its memory lens zoom (and anamorphic stretch). The competition is going to be intense at this price point, having already seen the HW30ES from Sony and with additions from JVC and Epson only weeks away. But the PT-AT5000 has lots going for it and with it high standard of picture performance, excellent 3D playback and at this time unique features like memory zoom, we can’t do anything but highly recommend you go and check it out for yourself!
