Apple iPad 3 Pro Reviews

www.whathifi.com‘s review Edit

It might not look very different, but the new iPad is undeniably better than the iPad 2, and that makes it the best tablet by a mile

With a host of improvements--faster graphics, 4G wireless options, a better camera, and a gorgeous high-res screen--the latest iPad cements its position at the head of the tablet pack.

MacNN‘s review Edit

Once having the tablet arena almost entirely to itself, Apple is now in the middle of a full-scale battle: everyone who could have a tablet does, and even Amazon's Kindle Fire is in the fray at a very low price. The new iPad, then, faces the challenge of not just being the best but of giving buyers a reason to spend more than $199. A record-setting display, new graphics and 4G go a long way.

With a gorgeous ultra-high-resolution display and the widest selection of apps you can get, the new iPad is the best large-screen tablet around.

Notebookcheck‘s review Edit

A hard and especially long day slowly comes to an end. This is time to draw a preliminary conclusion. What is left of the initial euphoria after the first tests? Above all else, the excellent Retina screen has to be mentioned. It is beyond all doubt the reason why the iPad 3 can produce a razor-sharp picture. However, the somewhat lower brightness, which can't counter glare quite as well, leaves a slightly bitter aftertaste compared to the predecessor. The Transformer Prime clearly wins the round in display brightness and contrast. Nevertheless, it can't hold a candle to the new iPad in terms of resolution and overall image quality. The case appears familiar both in quality and texture, although the somewhat heavier weight (+60 g) is the other side of the coin on an otherwise excellent and traditional design.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

Exactly one year since the iPad 2’s release, Apple has seemingly upped the ante in the tablet space with its latest model – yet again! Call it magical, call it surreal, but whatever you want to say, the new iPad thunderously establishes itself as the benchmark for all other tablets going forward. As we’ve come to expect, it employs all the incremental upgrades to make it a feared competitor – like its new camera, faster processor, larger capacity battery, and unbelievable display. Thinking about it more, it’s amazing to know how much they’ve raised the bar in terms of display technology. Absolutely, it’s one that’s bound to attract people far and wide not only for the stupendous hardware that it beholds, but for its intuitive and simplistic platform experience as well.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

Sammy went through a lot in redesigning the Galaxy Tab 10.1 to beat the iPad 2 in terms of thinness, but with the new iPad, they’re now in and over their head. Being the new kid on the block, the iPad has the advantage in many aspects because of its superior hardware, but even beyond that, it offers a lot of bang for the buck. Staring down at their starting prices, the LTE version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is too bloated at $700 outright through Verizon, and honestly, it makes the $630 starting cost of the LTE enabled iPad so much more valuable. Frankly, the iPad’s lower price point is enough to warrant a buy over its rival – especially when it’s a premium tablet that’s price super competitively. Also, the visual allure of the iPad’s Retina display is more than enough justification to pick it up as well.

Macworld‘s review Edit

The new iPad is just that: The iPad, updated for a new year and millions of new iPad users. It's not smaller or lighter, but it's got a remarkable screen, a much better rear camera, and support for cellular networking that can run at Wi-Fi speeds. It's the iPad that millions of people have embraced, only one year better. Users of the iPad 2 shouldn't fret: Their iPad investment is certainly good for another year. But they might not want to look too closely at the new iPad's screen. Once you get a load of that Retina display, it's hard to go back to anything else

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

Overall the new iPad is a decent upgrade from the iPad 2 in a number of key areas. The retina quality display is the most impressive and there’s a faster processor and better cameras. 4G connectivity is a good upgrade but irrelevant for UK users at the moment. Apple has managed all this and stuck to the same price points as the iPad 2 and maintained the 10 hour battery life.

It's clearly way too early to make any objective judgment about the new iPad. Keep checking back for the full information when it launches.
