Skype for Nokia Belle phones is out

Skype for Nokia Belle phones is out

Posted on Feb 06, 2012 by MG1

Skype has updated its app for Symbian Belle devices (version 2.1.23) like the Nokia 700, 701, 603 and many others that will get the new OS via a firmware update. The popular VoIP application now comes with Belle-like look and feel, while the overall performance has been significantly improved.
You know that Skype is a must-have app on your smartphone, right? So if you have a compatible device, get it now. Sure there are other VoIP solutions out there, some of which are even cheaper to use. However, with most folks running Skype on their mobile phones, tablets and computer – you’ll need it to be able to talk to them for free (as in Skype-to-Skype calls).

Vodafone UK now offers Nokia 700 for 26 GBP per month

Posted on Oct 26, 2011 by MG1

Nokia 700, which we know as one of the first Symbian Belle smartphones, is now available from Vodafone UK. The Big Red carrier is offering Nokia’s baby for free on a two-year 26 GBP per month contract. That money gets you 300 minutes, unlimited texts, 500 MB of mobile data and 1GB of BT OpenZone Wi-Fi each month. Alternatively, there’s the cheaper 20.50 GBP per month option that rocks 100 minutes, 500 texts, 250 MB of data and the same 1GB of BT OpenZone Wi-Fi access per month. With this plan, however, you’ll have to pour out 99 GBP to get the phone.
Not sure I can recommend a Symbian Belle device to anyone these days, especially when we know that the same cash can get you a decent Android s...

Nokia 700 Zeta with Symbian Belle Images Leaked

Nokia 700 Zeta with Symbian Belle Images Leaked

Posted on Jun 30, 2011 by MG1

Most Nokia news these days surrounds its Windows Phone 7 efforts, but the Nokia 700 “Zeta” reminds us that Symbian handsets are still floating in the pipeline. It looks like a nice phone for those who are looking for a simple smartphone without all the bells and whistles of the higher-end Android or Windows Phone devices out there. It is running Symbian Belle, the successor to Anna.
However, it doesn’t look like this will be a bottom-of-the-barrel device. Word is that it is equipped with a 1GHz processor, which is pretty much standard fare these days, 3.2-inch nHD AMOLED display (nHD is what Nokia uses for 640 x 360 resolution screens). The Nokia 700, or Zeta, is pretty lightweight at just 8...
