Olympus Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm F4.0-5.6 Pro Reviews

ephotozine‘s review Edit

With this lens retailing for around £210, or for even less when purchased as part of a bundle deal with an Olympus PEN body, it represents excellent value for money. The levels of sharpness it can deliver throughout the zoom range are excellent, especially in the centre of the image area. This coupled with the low levels of CA and distortion make it an excellent choice for anyone looking to expand the zoom range of their Micro Four Thirds camera into telephoto.

The Olympus 40-150mm ƒ/4-5.6 M.Zuiko fared well in our tests, offering excellent performance up to 100mm, and above-average performance at 150mm. For the PEN system user looking for a portable telephoto option to supplement the 14-42mm kit lens, they should look no further.

slrgear‘s review Edit

As a companion to the 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 kit lens, the 40-150mm performs very well: excellent sharpness results, good resistance to chromatic aberration in the telephoto range, only marginal distortion and negligible vignetting. This is definitely a case of getting a very decent lens for the money, and to get even better quality the premium price ascends quite quickly. If you need better quality, it's likely you know it and you're already looking at more expensive options; otherwise, you'll probably be well-served with this lens.
