Dell Vostro 3350 Pro Reviews

itreviews‘s review Edit

It’s possible to customise the Vostro 3350 on Dell’s small business site, and we’d recommend that you do: by dropping the processor down to a Core i3 or i5, it’s possible to drop the price considerably. We’d also advise that you get rid of the Radeon graphics card, unless you’re going to be doing lots of 3D work while tethered to a power socket - in which case we’d suggest spending your money on a far cheaper and more powerful desktop machine anyway. At the specification provided, it’s simply not possible to recommend the Vostro 3350: much of its cash-grabbing hardware can’t be used while on battery power, and it’s not an impressive enough design for the money. At a similar price point, it’s possible to get a MacBook Pro with better battery life or a MacBook Air with better portability - and when a PC marker starts getting unfavourable value comparisons against Apple, there’s something gone badly awry.

PC World‘s review Edit

Overall, I'd happily recommend the Dell Vostro 3350 to general business users who travel a lot and like a compact laptop, but who would rather shoulder an extra pound of notebook weight than spend several hundred dollars more for a sub-4-pound ultraportable with no optical drive. The Vostro 3350 does a nice balancing act between portability, features, and power: It may not excel at any of them, but it delivers quite adequately on all of them.

With its attractive aluminium shell in a choice of three striking colours, general ruggedness, excellent usability and great connectivity - combined with some decent specs - Dell's 13.3in Vostro 3350 is well worth its asking price, despite an average screen. Admittedly its high-capacity battery makes it somewhat heavy and chunky, but then you do get to stay away from a socket for hours at a time.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

The power of the Dell Vostro 3350 small business laptop's second-generation Core i5 processor and more than hours of battery life are well-worth its budget-conscious price.

Notebookcheck‘s review Edit

The Dell Vostro 3350, as the smallest representative, basically leaves us with a good impression. The compact case with an attractive design is impressive, whereas there are slight problems with the stability and in manufacturing details. The interface supply and the communication options are well- designed. The input devices convince with a simple use that will even be a pleasure for prolific typists.
