HP EliteBook 8560p Pro Reviews

NotebookReview‘s review Edit

The HP EliteBook 8560p is a solid update to the EliteBook line of business laptops. The combination of powerful Intel Sandy Bridge processors, a stylish-yet-durable design, and decent battery life make for a very well-balanced business notebook.

Notebookcheck‘s review Edit

This business notebook, the HP Elitebook 8560p LQ589AW, is convincing in every respect. It has a very smart, high-end appearance with its platinum-look aluminium case. Nor has HP taken any shortcuts with the workmanship. The display lid opens easily without lifting the rest of the notebook along with it. Working is actually fun on the HP Elitebook 8560p LQ589AW. This is also down to the internal hardware: a fast dual-core Core i5 CPU with 2.6 GHz and lots of potential for overclocking, 4 GB of RAM and dedicated AMD graphics. The matt 15.6-inch display is the icing on the cake. It doesn’t pick up reflections or act like a mirror. Because of the graphics card, the notebook is limited to home and office use, perhaps with some light gaming aspirations. The price is the only thing that doesn’t sound good. In this hardware configuration, the notebook costs around €1200. Enough to make you think twice about that cake.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

The HP EliteBook 8560p is a powerhouse business laptop, as its 15.6-inch widescreen and top of the line parts are there for powering through the most difficult tasks--and a modern look doesn't hurt either.

The HP EliteBook 8650p is a fast, comfortable notebook with excellent battery life and a host of professional-level features, without a huge professional-notebook price premium.

Digital Trends‘s review Edit

Any number of notebooks come configured cheaper or lighter, but for brute processing power, comfortable, hard-wearing controls and durability, it would be hard to do better than HP’s industrial-strength EliteBook 8560p. With a starting price of $1,099, you’ll pay for all three luxuries, but together they represent a sound investment that should keep ticking well after competitors have fried hard drives, broken keys and hinges that will barely keep the screen up anymore (we’ve certainly encountered all three).
