Medion Erazer X6813 Pro Reviews

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

Medion’s 15.6in Erazer X6813 gaming laptops provide some of the best bargains to be had for true gaming performance in a mobile package, punching far above their price thanks to GTX460M graphics and Full HD screens across the range (even on the £750 base model) – a decision for which we can only applaud the German manufacturer. Our £999 MD97762 review configuration provides a mix of powerful components under its relatively attractive hood, with an average, non-backlit keyboard and poor speakers as our only real complaints. If you want a powerful gaming laptop without breaking the bank, the Erazer X6813s are unrivalled.

In spite of the high performance hardware, we wouldn’t recommend the Eraser. For a laptop that costs north of £1,000, it doesn’t feel especially well made, and the screen - despite its high resolution - can’t match the quality of other laptops at a similar price. The warranty, too, is the bare minimum of 12 months and requires you to return the laptop yourself. It might be difficult to find anything with quite such a powerful graphics card for less, but if gaming isn’t your highest priority, the superb Dell XPS 15z has almost every other feature in a high-quality chassis.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

The tech snob inside us wants to trash the Medion for its money saving approach to design and its bulky feel. The problem is every time we boot the laptop up and get gaming, we realise none of that matters. What is important is power and lots of it. No one can argue with the Erazer in the specs department, for the cost it is pretty much unrivalled. Some may want to pay that little bit extra to get the quality that something like an Alienware brings, but personally we believe once you are staring at the screen it is all about how the game looks. For those in the market for a powerful gaming laptop or perhaps a portable cousin to a desktop, the Medion Erazer X6813 comes highly recommended.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

So can a gaming notebook with a mediocre screen and build quality be recommended on the grounds of gaming performance alone? It all depends on how you intend to use the Medion Erazer X6813. Its uses are limited by short battery life, but it does compare favourably to other manufacturer's offerings at this price.

Notebookcheck‘s review Edit

Medion has brought to life an attractive and generally successful gaming notebook with the Erazer X6813, one whose cost effectiveness should put a scare into the competition. Cost-conscious gamers who are satisfied with just a second-class display should definitely pounce at the offer.
