Sony Ericsson Xperia mini Pro Reviews

GSMArena‘s review Edit

Sony Ericsson have done it again - and not because they were running out of room. What was it again? About good things and small packages? Sorry, Xperia Arc. Nothing personal. The Xperia mini is back with a bang, and in its best shape. The compact body was the unique selling point of the original mini. Sony Ericsson have apparently been busy ticking the rest of the boxes. The sequel is nearly the same size but has more to show for it. The Xperia mini is a textbook example of an upgrade. It inherits everything important from the superior members of the Xperia lineup. With a Reality display, Snapdragon core and the latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the Xperia mini offers the complete Android experience. A feature-rich phone that looks good and doesn't charge a fortune: the price at launch is less than €200. It's not an exaggeration to say the Xperia mini is the best smartphone for its size. It may as well be one of the best performers for its price too. It looks ready to build on the success of its predecessor but its appeal will certainly extend beyond the brand's loyal base. The Sony Ericsson Xperia mini will not shrink in the face of competition. It will stand tall and say "Bring it on".

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

With the Sony Ericsson Xperia mini, you'll surely succeed in being different. The tiny handset is indeed a looker, and it is such offerings that feel like a breath of fresh air in this crowded market. What we're happy about is that Sony Ericsson managed to upgrade the mini to a pretty decent 2011 smartphone, all the while preserving its characteristic looks. With a 3” screen, 1GHz processor and an up-to-date operating system, covered with a neat and playful custom UI, the Sony Ericsson Xperia mini is now less of a niche device than ever.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

We're pleasantly surprised at how usable and responsive the Xperia Mini is. The 1GHz processor means web pages are drawn and scrolled pretty quickly, while gaming and app performance is also good. The user interface customisations are really nice as well, with Sony Ericsson's sweeping visual changes bringing the best out of Android - and adding in plenty of new usability and social options. In terms of value for money, it's a decent option. The 3" screen is a little limiting if you're into mobile media and gaming, but the phone itself is a glitch-free, user-friendly little marvel you won't end up hating.
