MSI N560GTX-Ti Hawk Pro Reviews

www.pcper.com‘s review Edit

MSI just keeps the hits coming on the video card front. While I was not overly impressed with their latest motherboard offerings this past month, they have kept their foot on the gas when it comes to graphics. The best part about these cards is that generally they are not that much more expensive than the reference versions. With the HAWK series this is especially true. In this case, it sits right around the upper-middle portion of current offerings using this GPU. MSI has created yet another outstanding video card for enthusiasts everywhere.

The graphics performance of the MSI N560GTX-Ti Hawk is way above standard, sure other GTX 560Ti cards may be able to reach this core clock but the Hawk does it out of the box. In seven out of our ten tests the 560Ti Hawk manages to beat not only a stock speed HD6950 but also an overclocked variant of the HD6950, this is something a reference design GTX 560Ti is unable to achieve. Functionality is very good, I can't help but keep singing praise for the Twin Frozr III cooler, it really is so good. Throughout our tests the price/performance ratio is very appealing indeed, but the GTX460 has come down in price recently and still offers excellent overall cost/performance. The very high factory overclock and quality cooler design are this cards main selling point.

A card that comes well equipped with accessories and features is not always easy to find. The Hawk threw down with cards that were supposed to be more capable and even came out ahead in some scenarios while matching them in others. With all of the features this card could easily fit in to the advanced overclocking crowd while still blending in with with regular users and enthusiasts. It has the price and performance ratio covered well. A free game is always a nice added bonus!

As a competitor with other NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti based video cards, the MSI N560GTX-Ti Hawk knocks the ball out of the park. Its overclock gives it a real performance advantage. Its cooling device keeps it cooler even though it uses more power. It's not significantly more expensive, and yet it gives you all these advantages over NVIDIA's standard design. If other GTX 560 Ti's were all that this video card had to compete with, it would be a no-brainer.
