ORIGIN EON17 Pro Reviews

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

The Origin EON17-S is an attractive 17-inch gaming laptop powered by an over-clocked Ivy Bridge CPU and Nvidia's latest GeForce GTX graphics engine. It's big in stature and carries a hefty price tag but it delivers game-worthy performance.

PC World‘s review Edit

The EON17-S is bulky, heavy, and generic-looking, but it's an excellent performer.

If you want a notebook that includes massive performance overhead for today's and tomorrow's games, as well as just about every feature you could want, this is it. And that feature list includes a decent (though certainly not over-generous) support package. Origin covers the EON17 with a one-year parts warranty, with free shipping for repairs, and the company also promises life-of-the-machine coverage for labor and technical support. Two- and three-year plans, covering parts-plus-shipping, are available for an extra $169 and $269, respectively. But we think a $5,000 notebook should, by default, include a three-year plan. It's just too big an investment not to have.
