HP Officejet 100 Pro Reviews

itreviews‘s review Edit

While the idea of being able to print anywhere is a tempting one, we'd advise you to think long and hard about how often you'd actually want to do that - and whether it's worth the high asking price and running costs for what is, at heart, a distinctly average printer.

This pint-sized printer has few compromises, but we had problems with Fast Draft mode. We hoped to cure this by downloading more recent drivers, but the problem remained, preventing us from measuring a draft time. It proved a frustrating issue, particularly given that the Officejet 100 otherwise feels robust and reliable. This problem aside, it's a compact printer which produces good-quality and inexpensive prints.

This is a well engineered little printer, though it's a bit big to be a truly mobile machine. If you need to have print facilities with you when travelling, you may not have much choice between this machine and the Canon PIXMA iP100. Print quality is variable, speed is generally good and the inclusion of a Lithium ion battery means you’re not tied to mains power.

For business trips where printing is a necessity, this mobile printer can be a great companion. Just be aware of its slow speed and lack of Wi-Fi.

printercomparison‘s review Edit

The HP Officejet 100 fills a very niche role in the printing market today. It is specifically designed for the mobile professional who wants/needs to print from many locations and because of this, it lacks some features we take for granted on inkjet printers. For instance, the average photo quality and lack of borderless photo prints over 4x6 in size. It does the things it needs to do well though; the print quality was good for text and mixed documents, the print speeds were decent (although nowhere close to HP advertised speeds) and the HP Officejet 100 was easy to setup and use.

HP's latest portable printer, the HP Officejet 100 Mobile Printer, is a little slow, but delivers on output quality, cartridge yield, and battery life.

Macworld‘s review Edit

The HP Officejet 100 Mobile Printer fits the needs of the mobile professional, providing competent printing capabilities in a luggable package. Although that comes at the sacrifice of speed, and at notable initial and ongoing costs, convenience is the priority with this machine.
