Panasonic TX-P50GT30 Pro Reviews

www.whathifi.com‘s review Edit

Comparing the spec sheet of this £1300 TX-P50GT30 with the £1700 Panasonic TX-P50VT30 is like a tough game of spot-the-difference. Panasonic has helped us out, though, confirming that, aside from differences in looks and construction, the GT’s High Contrast Filter lacks the VT’s ‘Pro’ suffix. It also doesn’t have the VT’s ultra-advanced ISF calibration option, has a more basic speaker arrangement and can’t record to SD card (though it can still record to USB).

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

Killer blacks, peerless colour and the best 3D performance we’ve seen so far; this 50-inch “neo plasma”, complete with multimedia features including BBC iPlayer, DivX playback and Skype video calling, sees Panasonic in confident mood. If Wi-Fi and 3D glasses were included this set would edge top marks.

We thought last year's Panasonic GT20 plasma TVs were good, but the P50GT30 knocks the spots of its predecessors. It ramps up the online functionality that's becoming such an essential item of 2011's TV feature counts, sports a drastically improved design, and best of all serves up the best 2D and 3D picture quality we've seen from a mid-range TV.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

As with its debut 3D LCD TV, Panasonic has gone for broke with the first of its new 3D plasmas, a fact that has resulted in a rather imposing price tag on the TX-P50GT30B. The good news is that your outlay is rewarded with a truly sensational level of picture quality in either 2D or 3D mode.

AVForums‘s review Edit

The TX-P50GT30B represents Panasonic’s mid-range 3D plasma display and as such it sits between the entry level ST30 and the flagship VT30. Panasonic has made a number of changes compared to last year’s models, some of which are cosmetic and some related to the performance. First off the panel incorporates Panasonic’s new VIERA NeoPlasma Display Technology which replaces last year’s NeoPDP.
