Logitech Squeezebox Radio Pro Reviews

Engadget‘s review Edit

We tried to find something not to like about the Squeezebox Radio, but didn't have much success. We thought the bright screen would keep us awake at night, but it kindly turned itself off even as it kept the tunes pumping. We thought it'd forget to wake us up after we unplugged it and moved it to a new room, but sure enough our alarm settings were still there, because they're stored online. About the only thing we can find as a serious fault is a 45 second start-up time...

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

Logitech's wireless-audio-streaming devices keep getting better, but the Squeezebox Radio, with so-so sound quality and some connectivity and set-up issues, is not the star of the Squeezebox line.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

The Logitech Squeezebox Radio is a nicely designed device for listening to your music from anywhere in the house. As a bonus, it lets you access all sorts of online content, both audial and visual. The Radio is powerful enough to fill a bedroom or office, although it’s lacking in bass. Our biggest complaint is that the system's interface makes it very difficult to deal with large music collections or to access the unit's many options.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

The Squeezebox Radio offers a good rounded package at a price that is reasonable value for money. We would have preferred to see a FM or DAB tuner to give the Radio some offline functions and, whilst we like the options that the Squeezebox Server brings, for some Windows users and those with a network media drive, you might decide you'd rather take the simple approach through UPnP. For those with a Mac music collection, it's nice to see decent Mac integration from Logitech.

Mac|Life‘s review Edit

A confusing interface and rigid ties to individual music libraries hold the Squeezebox Radio back a bit. But once you have it set up, limitless music from online and local sources sounds sweet.
