NETGEAR Digital Entertainer Elite EVA9150 Pro Reviews

ITreviews‘s review Edit

It's difficult to find enough good things to say about the Entertainer Elite, which builds on the EVA8000 primarily through a more responsive interface, better streaming performance and file management and an excellent remote control. When you throw in strong support for online content and a massive degree of flexibility and custom settings, it's difficult to think of a more versatile and better performing media streamer in the current market. Unfortunately you're paying a lot for the privilege of this exceptional performance and range of features, so for the time being at least this will be a choice for serious digital media users only.

reghardware‘s review Edit

The EVA9150 is a very good network streamer with comprehensive format support and good quality playback. The new additions such as the hard drive and 802.11n support are welcome features and, overall, it's more refined than its predecessor. However, its price tag lets it down - if it was £100 cheaper it'd be much easier to recommend but, currently, it's just a bit too expensive.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

We found the Netgear Digital Entertainer Elite 9150 perhaps the most dependable and likable of the media streamers. Setup was easy, the onscreen prompts and status updates meant you always knew where you were with the setup procedure and once installed, accessing and playing media of all types worked like a dream. If you want a single device that does everything and the sheer size of the Elite isn’t an issue, it’s a great choice.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

With a huge hard drive and excellent file support, Netgear's EVA9150 is a strong media extender, but its weakness with streaming video will likely be a deal-breaker for many.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

Despite some relatively minor issues, we have nothing but praise for the EVA 9150 as a modern-day streamer. It offers excellent support and control for media collections, superb performance, even over wireless, and impressive attention to detail when it comes to intuitive operation and online access.
