Logitech Z906 Pro Reviews

itreviews‘s review Edit

The Z906 delivers a pretty impressive sound quality for its budget price tag, and it can be purchased for a fair bit less than the RRP, if you shop around online. If you don’t want to break the bank buying separates, this is a good compromise to provide some meaty surround sound for your home cinema setup.

Plenty of power, but the Z906 isn't the leap forward we were hoping for – dedicated sets from Onkyo and Sony are a better bet

It’s a shame the controls aren’t more immediate and that it lacks features such as a HDMI input, but for those looking for a system to use primarily with a PC or a games console, the Z906 is still a good bet.

HotHardware‘s review Edit

The Z906 is loud, it's thunderous, and it looks sexy while filling your room with sound. Whether you're looking for a entry-level home theater speaker system or a high-end 5.1 PC audio solution, the Z906 is a solid option.

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

Whether you’re using the Z906 in the office or living room, it delivers a very impressive sound with depth, punch and decent detail reproduction. And although its techy design is better suited to a desk than a TV stand, build quality is extremely robust and the inclusion of a control console is a convenient feature, despite its slightly cryptic quirks. There’s also a useful range of sockets, although the lack of HDMI inputs and Dolby True HD/DTS HD MA decoding is a slight disappointment and undermines the Z906’s status as a cutting-edge home entertainment hub.

MacNN‘s review Edit

More than anything, the only real letdown is just that Logitech missed an opportunity to go further. The Z906 like its predecessor is still based around certain assumptions, such as that computer buyers are the core audience, that you can easily hook up every device you own directly to the speakers, or that someone in the price range won't fret over what surround formats they can play. That and some casual hiccups like the overbright lighting prevent the Z906 from being perfect, even if it's still the go-to pick for a certain class of gamer or movie viewer.
