The GREAT gaming console..

The PlayStation 2 (officially abbreviated PS2) is a sixth-generation video game console manufactured by Sony. The successor to the PlayStation, and the predecessor to the PlayStation 3, the PlayStation 2 forms part of the PlayStation series of video game consoles.

The PS2 is the best-selling console to date, having reached over 140 million units sold as of September 30, 2009.
Has more than 1,700 game titles till date.
Several new games are scheduled to be released in 2010, thus continuing the sixth generation.

10 Years Strong

Ownership period: more than 1 year.
PS2 just had it's 10th b-day and games are still being produced for it, there are over 1000 games for it I believe already. One of the best consoles of all time imo. If thats not enough reason to have one, i dont know what it.

  • Composite cables are expensive and as close to hd as you'll get.

PS 2 Still rocks!

Ownership period: more than 1 year.
I've had my console for a long time. (8 years or so) It's the original large, bulky one. That thing is a tank! It's been dropped many times from various heights and still runs well. I play games on it regularly even though we have a Wii and an Xbox 360. Granted, the graphics on some of the older games in particular are cheap compared to today's consoles, but the games are still good. I hope Sony doesn't try to phase this one out for a long time.

PS 2 ROCKED!

Ownership period: more than 1 year.
it was really an awesome console. Just changed how the world used to pursue gaming. A great successor to ps1 and loved playing games on it.but ofcourse ps3 rocks even more.....so am looking forward to buyin it too

I gave away my PS2 to my parents and it still works great! It is not the slim but the original model.
