Panasonic DMP-BD75 Pro Reviews

www.whathifi.com‘s review Edit

So while 12 months ago a Blu-ray player of this quality, at this price, would have been met with delight mixed with incredulity, these days the Panasonic’s just fractionally off the pace.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

If you're in the market for a basic Blu-ray player that serves up eye-popping pictures, and you have no need for bells and whistles, then you could do far worse than plump for the DMP-BD75. But most AV enthusiasts will surely be tempted by the more exciting treats offered higher up Panasonic's 2011 range. An extra £100 gets you built-in Wi-Fi, access to the Viera Connect portal and, of course, 3D playback.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

Nicely designed as a small package and delivering some top-notch Blu-ray images, this mid-range 2D deck is nevertheless bettered by similarly priced models from the likes of Sony, which add Lovefilm and BBC iPlayer goodness. If you're after a solid and dependable Blu-ray player there’s few better than this Panasonic, but if your digital ambitions stretch beyond playing-back the odd DivX file or photo collection we suggest you look elsewhere.

However, anyone looking for an exciting, sexy, multifaceted and media savvy Blu-ray player with Web access, 3D support and Wi-Fi functionality might do well to seek out a discounted Sony BDP-S570 or keep saving and wait to see what Panasonic’s better-specced players have to offer.
