Panasonic VIERA TX-P50VT30 Pro Reviews

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

An enchanting and spotless performance with 2D and 3D Blu-ray persuades us that this is the ultimate home cinema screen for many. A great all-rounder that’s as adept at upscaling SD fare as it is with native HD. The TX-P50VT30 also comes stuffed with features - Freeview HD, Freesat HD, Viera Connect (with BBC iPlayer) and DLNA streaming - but it is the sheer image quality at its core that we love. It also suggests, yet again, that plasma is the panel tech best able to cope with this era’s two main issues - making 3D both comfortable and impressive to watch, and allowing low-bitrate broadcasts sing on a big screen.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

There's online fun, access to free HD broadcasts and a sumptuous design, but at its core the Panasonic TX-P50VT30B plasma TV is the ideal option for anyone after home cinema-grade AV equipment. An awesome performance with 2D and 3D Blu-ray (although there's room for improvement in the latter) assures it the love of home cinema aficionados, but it's also kind to poor sources, and a better value choice than bigger plasmas in the VT30 Series.

A formidable 2D and 3D picture performer, this could be the best plasma TV we've tested to date.

Overall, the Panasonic TX-P50VT30 is the best performing 50-inch HDTV we’ve reviewed so far this year in any dimension. There is no comparable flat-screen television that gives the same rich blacks, excellent screen uniformity, freedom from input lag, and lack of 3D crosstalk.

AVForums‘s review Edit

The VT30 is Panasonic’s new flagship model for 2011 and introduces a new sleek design with one piece of glass across the front of the panel. Added to this is a new louvre filter - that is darker than the other 3D panels from the company this year - and also offers effective ambient light rejection. As it is a glass front to the panel (like every other plasma out there) it is reflective when placed in a brightly lit room or opposite a window, it will act like a mirror. So we suggest owners take some time to make sure that the VT30 is placed in the best possible surroundings to get the absolute best from the TV.
