Sapphire TOXIC HD 6870 Pro Reviews

HEXUS‘s review Edit

If you like the cut of NVIDIA's jib, the GeForce GTX 560 Ti offers similar performance at a similar price, but for those who prefer the flavour of AMD's ingredients - including the likes of Eyefinity and EyeSpeed - Sapphire's HD 6870 TOXIC is well worthy of consideration. The performance, mixed with the excellent cooling capability of the Vapor-X cooler, makes it a hugely attractive package. If there's a catch, it's that the HD 6870 TOXIC unexpectedly finds itself going up against the £210 Radeon HD 6950 1GB.

motherboards‘s review Edit

Sapphire has taken the HD 6870 to the next level with the Toxic HD 6870 card. The card overclocks very well with clock speeds exceeding 1GHz attained using Sapphire’s TriXX utility. The performance of the card is outstanding even at the default settings as the card is clocked 70MHz higher than the reference core clock and 100MHz higher than the memory clock. This card is available online for $249.99 and is solid competition against the GeForce GTX560 at this price point. The Sapphire Select Gold Club gives you the opportunity to participate in game offer, contests and promotions and are a value added benefit. IF you are looking for an HD 6870 for your system, the Sapphire Toxic Edition is a solid player in the game, excellent cooling, performance and overclocking abound.
