HP keeps the 4000 Pro inexpensive by using lower-end chips and graphics, smaller hard drives and less RAM. Still, it’s got enough juice for any basic computing tasks, and most businesses don’t need much more than that. Once you add in the fact that this desktop also has a small footprint, high build quality and a (normally expensive) three-year, next business day, on-site warranty, the value equation goes up that much more. In fact, given the excellent included warranty at $400, the 4k Pro becomes a really attractive choice for home office and even just home desktop users. The HP Compaq 4000 Pro isn’t the fastest desktop out there, but in terms of overall value, it’s hard to beat.
