Samsung GALAXY Fit Pro Reviews

itreviews‘s review Edit

Almost everything about the Fit is a compromise; it's easy to use and the camera is relatively impressive, but elsewhere it flatters to deceive. Not advanced enough for business use and not fast enough for accurate, speedy surfing, it nevertheless makes for a pocket-friendly budget smartphone for day-to-day use.

The Samsung Fit is a low-end Android with a poor screen and underpowered processor, but just about redeems itself with a decent camera.

GSMArena‘s review Edit

The Samsung Galaxy Fit is yet another attempt by the Android army to storm the lower-end smartphone market. Placed right between the Galaxy Mini and the Galaxy Ace, the fit tries to deliver a solid smartphone performance at a very reasonable price. However, we are obviously still not at the point where this could be achieved without cutting quite a lot of corners. The low resolution screen is one, but there's also the lack of Flash support, the poor video recording and the lack of flash. Then again, expecting a device like the fit to match the capabilities of a Galaxy S smartphone is probably just being greedy. The bangs and whistles are for the high-end, while the Fit should be doing the basics and we have to admit it's doing that pretty well. You get tons of apps to organize your everyday life and fill up your free time, a relatively good camera and full connectivity package, so the general package is worth its price tag.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

The Samsung Galaxy Fit doesn't do much for us, we're afraid. It doesn't do anything spectacularly badly but it doesn't do anything spectacularly well, either, and the low res screen seems, well, too low-res. It has no particular USPs over many other similarly-priced lower-end Android smartphones.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

What we like about the Samsung GALAXY Fit is that it is comfortable to use and feels good in the hand. Besides that, it has every connectivity feature that a novice smartphone user would ever need. Photos taken with the GALAXY Fit look surprisingly good as well, and the TouchWiz UI runs smoothly on top of Gingerbread. Unfortunately, its low resolution display is quite unpleasant to look at. It makes reading text a painful task and turns surfing the web into a tedious process. The poor in-call sound quality is yet another major disappointment that needs to be pointed out.

The Galaxy Fit is not a bad budget Android smartphone thanks to its stylish design and above average camera. But while it more than holds it's own against the likes of the Vodafone Smart, its low resolution screen means it pails in comparison to the Orange San Francisco, which is priced at a similar level and remains the best of the budget Android handsets around at the moment.

It may have a low-resolution screen, but the Galaxy Fit makes the most of its low specification hardware. It's a bargain

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

What’s impressive about the Samsung Galaxy Fit is that you get a full range of smartphone functionality in an affordable package. It is cheap, but you might find you prefer something like the INQ Cloud Touch or the Orange San Francisco, which both have distinct strengths over the Galaxy Fit and are also very affordable. Although basic functionality works well, the Samsung Galaxy Fit is let down by the screen, both in terms of the resolution and the reflective finish, so it’s well worth looking around before parting with your cash.
