Research In Motion today indicated via its quarterly earnings report that it is delaying the launch of its BlackBerry Bold Touch 9900/9930 smartphones. Both phones were scheduled to launch during the summer, but RIM said it has been hit with production delays that will force their introduction to be postponed until the "very late part of August." RIM also indicated that it plans layoffs starting in its second fiscal quarter, though it didn't say how many employees would be let go. »read more
