All things considered, the ENGTX580 DirectCU II offers great performance, low noise, a great price point (for a GTX 580), and a host of ASUS-specific improvements to the PCB that make the choice between this card and a reference design a no-brainer.

Right now, the GeForce GTX 580 is the fastest single-GPU offered by NVIDIA. As such, the ASUS ENGTX580 DirectCU II is representative of the tippy top of NVIDIA's current high-end video card offering. It is a powerful performer. It has a great cooling device that removes heat effectively and keeps the GPU cool. It costs $499.99 USD right now, and it will probably remain a premium high-end video card, at least until AMD or NVIDIA releases something better.
