Motorola XOOM Pro Reviews

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

Hoping the apps appear quickly, the Xoom is fast enough to keep pace and gets our nod over other Android tablets. The iPad is still the better tablet and has thousands of useful, powerful apps that make it more appealing.

MobileBurn‘s review Edit

The Motorola XOOM, as the first Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet to hit the market, has all eyes on it. People want to know if this device, and others like it that will follow, will truly be able to pose a threat to the Apple and its popular iPad tablet - the device that created the market that the Motorola XOOM is now trying to compete in.

MacNN‘s review Edit

We were left with positive impressions of the Xoom and Honeycomb, a duo that finally brings the Android platform up to speed with the iPad. Aside from the hardware and software, however, most customers will also consider the price and competition in the market.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

So here’s the underlying question that would undoubtedly hint to whether or not the Motorola XOOM is a success. How much money are you willing to shell out to experience the very first Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet? We’re not arguing that it’s something that is easily loved, especially when it oozes with so many exciting new features, but the $799.99 no-contract price point it garners will no doubt stab some people with the nagging feeling that it’s one pricey investment. However, it’s the price you’ll have to pay in order to grab hold of Motorola’s next pride and joy.

SlashGear‘s review Edit

Despite the absence of Flash support and the absence of 4G, there’s a lot to like about the Motorola XOOM. It’s a solid, discretely handsome slate, with strong battery life and whip-crack performance. Against it are the premium price tag and the ridiculous mandatory first-month data fee; frankly, Verizon have missed a trick by not giving buyers a free first month in the hope of getting them hooked to the convenience of 3G.

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

The Xoom's spec sheet is enough to make any tablet tremble, but the price is high and Google still has some work to do before its tablet software experience is as fleshed out and intuitive as Apple's.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

The virtual buttons in the bottom left, apps in the top right, and combination of widgets and icons in multiple screens all point to a device that trades instant accessibility for wider customisation features and increased functionality; this is something that could frustrate Xoom owners as much as please them. Longer term testing will tell.
