If you can remember way back to February of this year when Verizon Wireless launched the Motorola XOOM, the first Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet to hit the market, the carrier had promised that it would get its anemic 3G CDMA radio upgraded to a speedy 4G LTE unit by this summer. Well, it appears Verizon's summer extends into September, as we have just received word from the carrier that the ninth month of this year is when the LTE upgrade will be available to XOOM owners.
