GIGABYTE GA-P67A-UD3 (rev. 1.0) Pro Reviews

HEXUS‘s review Edit

The reviewed P67A-UD3 retails at £100 and offers a reasonable feature-set, though, understandably, a trimmed-down board layout misses out on higher-end features such as a UEFI BIOS, SLI compatibility, FireWire and eSATA support. Compare this with, say, the ASUS P8P67 LE, which throws in a separate SATA 6Gbps controller, FireWire and eSATA for just a little more. Enthusiasts looking towards the cheaper H67 chipset will do well to remember that a P67 board is required to get the most out of the Sandy Bridge chips, and Gigabyte's board - outfitted with adjustable multiplier support - cranks up a Core i5 2500K to 4.4GHz without any semblance of difficulty. What's more, it's energy efficient too.

xbitlabs‘s review Edit

Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD3 and GA-PH67A-UD3 mainboards can hardly be called ideal, each of them has its own specific drawbacks. As for Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD3, Intel P67 Express chipset will allow distributing the 16 PCI express 2.0 lanes supported by the CPU between the two graphics card slots, but this particular mainboard model cannot do it. Are these drawbacks? - No way! In fact, they turned into unique advantages of these products! New processors are very overclocking-friendly, and you wouldn’t want to give that up, but at the same time you have no intention of building a multi-card graphics sub-system. In this case Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD3 is worth checking out, because it is going to be one of the most affordable products on Intel P67 Express.
