LG BD670 Pro Reviews

PC World‘s review Edit

Great image quality, a huge selection of Internet entertainment, 3D Blu-ray support, and some cool extras make the LG BD670 one of the best Blu-ray players around. But the $180 price tag may turn off bargain shoppers.

AVForums‘s review Edit

The LG BD670 is a tidy little Blu-ray player that delivers excellent performance in the areas that count. It played back 3D and 2D Blu-rays perfectly without interfering with video or adding any unwanted processing. The video and audio delivered via HDMI was excellent and based upon our experiences with LG's TVs, it came as no surprise to discover that the video processing was first class. Whether you are watching a Blu-ray or a DVD or listening to a CD, the BD670 is a very capable and neat little player.

reghardware‘s review Edit

The BD670 is yet another ridiculously well-equipped mass-market Blu-ray player. Provided you can live with its scarecrow aesthetics, there’s plenty of entertainment to be had. Its UI is brilliantly simple and its IPTV offerings generous. I could have done with a second USB input, to address the BD Live memory problem, but its broad multimedia file support goes someway to compensating. The BD670 is a dark horse, and worth a ride. ®

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

Oversights like that might make you suspect that LG is a little tone-deaf about usability. But given the BD670's image quality and other exceptional features, you can easily overlook those omissions.

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

The BD670 is an impressive Blu-ray deck that makes a great case for a place high up on your shopping list. It boasts built-in Wi-Fi, DLNA media streaming, much-improved web content over previous LG players and wide digital media support. Finding a Blu-ray player with this many features for under 150 quid is a real boon, and for that reason it scores highly on value. Only the slightly workmanlike looks, occasionally ropey build quality and the single USB port let the side down – otherwise the BD670 is among the best budget Blu-ray decks around.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

Overall, the LG BD670 is a great value internet-connected Blu-ray disc player. Sure, it might have the sartorial style of an impoverished funeral director who dresses in the dark, but it's jazzy where it counts.

Affordable players aren’t usually the stage for designers to strut their stuff, and sure enough LG’s BD670 isn’t flashy. It’s nicely screwed together, though, and its spec-sheet is alluring.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

It's not the prettiest Blu-ray player on the block, but the 3D-ready LG BD670 is a workhorse loaded with plenty of features for the price.

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

Despite disc-loading speeds that are just average, the LG BD670's built-in Wi-Fi and excellent streaming media suite make it one of the best Blu-ray player values.
