Samsung Infuse 4G gets minor software update, no Gingerbread to be found

AT&T is pushing a minor software update out to the Samsung Infuse 4G, though its not the one that users have been waiting for. Instead of upgrading the phone to Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and hopefully a newer version of Samsung's TouchWiz interface, the update seems to just be a maintenance fix, and its difficult to tell what it actually offers. It could very well be an update to prepare the Infuse 4G for its promised Gingerbread upgrade, which is expected to arrive this fall. The update weighs in at about 14.5MB, and users can go to the About Phone section of the Settings app to download and install it. »read more
