Fujitsu ScanSnap S1100 Pro Reviews

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

This is a very good portable scanner for the money and is exceptionally easy to use, particularly if your main requirement is to produce PDF files. However, it can also scan to Office and GoogleDocs applications and handles both plain paper documents and photos well. Also, on a portable device like this, it would be useful to have some kind of protective case, even a simple slip sleeve.

This lightweight, compact mobile scanner seems a little fragile, but it's bundled with class-leading software that makes it a joy to use.

ITreviews‘s review Edit

A well put-together miniature scanner that punches well above its weight. It's fast, extremely versatile and the software is easy to use. The lack of TWAIN drivers isn't too much of a problem, given the wide array of output options. Any mobile professional looking for a lightweight scanner should seriously consider it.

MacNN‘s review Edit

The Fujitsu ScanSnap S1100 is well suited for its primary role: Quality scanning and organizing records and documents for the highly mobile user. It is ultra-compact and very easy to use. The included software speeds things along by ignoring blank pages and turning right side up pages that are inserted from the bottom, with text away from the scanner.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

The Fujitsu ScanSnap S1100 is incredibly portable if not especially cheap. In the long run, it won’t prove quite as fast, accurate or as versatile as the Plustek, and the lack of TWAIN compliance could prove more than an annoyance. However, if portability is paramount then this is a very effective little device that adds document scanning capabilities on the move.

PC Pro‘s review Edit

All in all, it’s a flexible little travel companion, and it’s around £50 cheaper than the next model up in Fujitsu’s range, which doesn’t offer cloud scanning. It’s twice as fast and more flexible than the competition such as Plustek’s MobileOffice S400, so the decision comes down to price: a basic mobile scanner can be had for less than £100 inc VAT, but if you want more in the way of speed and features, the ScanSnap S1100 justifies the premium.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

The Fujitsu ScanSnap S1100 is highly portable and easy to use, but like other ScanSnap models, it doesn't come with a standard scan driver, which would give it more flexibility.
