Smartfish Whirl Pro Reviews

gadgetreview‘s review Edit

While I’m finding myself enjoying the use of the Smartfish Whirl Mini, I still can’t justify giving it a score higher than four start out of five. Yes it’s comfortable, and yes it might be improving the circulation in my hand, but the fact that it still has no advanced features that are standard at other mice with the same price point is a deal breaker for me. Couple that with the fact that they removed the ability to change the DPI, and four is generous. Don’t get me wrong, if you really want an ergonomic mouse for your laptop, this is a good choice – there just might be better.

The Smartfish Whirl is a mouse that is really for people trying to improve their posture all around. The type that have the chair with lumbar support, and extreme ergonomic keyboard; they’re the ones that will truly appreciate the Smartfish Whirl Desktop edition. One more thing, I wouldn’t recommend getting one to move back and forth between a desktop and a laptop computer. The Whirl is large, and too bulky to be moved constantly. Wait until my Laptop edition review tomorrow for a more amicable solution.

Macworld‘s review Edit

The Whirl Laser Mouse provides your wrist with the comfort it needs for basic computer operation. Its energy consumption qualities are also impressive—you’re not going to have to change the mouse’s batteries all that often. It doesn’t revolutionize basic mice responsibilities, but its core functions are definitely enough for usability.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

For the ergonomic enthusiasts the Smartfish Whirl may entice, but those who use their mouse extensively may find that this ergo-mouse feels more like a balancing act.

If you want a comfortable, wireless mouse that works equally well with either Windows or Mac OS X, then you’ll be pleased with the Whirl Laser Mouse. Its unique anti-gravity comfort pivot really does work and provides a measure of comfort not found in any other ergonomic mouse. Just be aware that the bulk of the mouse makes it a bit awkward for constant travel, but it still may be the best mouse you can use for any computer.
