Lenovo IdeaPad G570 Pro Reviews

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

The Lenovo Essential G570 is a surprisingly good deal for a 15-inch Core i5 laptop, but offers few frills.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

The Lenovo Essential line is supposed to be a budget line, and the G570 performs that way, but the price point is too high. If you're looking for a budget-friendly machine, this version of the Lenovo Essential G570 isn't it. The Essential G570 line starts at an acceptable £300, but that's with an Intel Dual Core Processor and just 2GB of RAM. Unfortunately, even with all the fancy upgrades and the i5 processor, our review model just doesn't seem to cut it. There are some nice features, certainly, such as Bluetooth, an HDMI out port, and just over 5 hours of battery life, but performance is sub-par.

LAPTOP Magazine‘s review Edit

The Lenovo G570 offers a solid computing experience, but it's not our favorite 15-inch laptop. For $749, you get a comfy typing experience, strong overall performance, and one of the fastest boot times we've seen on a Windows machine. However, the smudge-prone lid is a turn-off, and you don't get USB 3.0. For about the same price, the HP Pavilion dv6t offers a more stylish metal design, discrete graphics, and Beats audio to boot. The Lenovo G570 is worth a look, but you can do better.

Lenovo isn’t all about work-focused laptops as it proves with the Lenovo IdeaPad G570, an excellent all-rounder for a very competitive price. The performance is strong in all areas and we were especially impressed by the stylish finish and sturdy build quality.

A powerful budget laptop with fair battery life and a great design. If you don’t need to play games, there are few cheaper options with better performance.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

With 250 minutes of life from a single charge, this is one of the better battery performances in the group. If you're taking this laptop on your daily commute you can leave the charger behind, and the 2.5kg chassis won't weigh you down too much. The ThinkPad G570 has a great deal to offer and comes with very few flaws to speak of. If you enjoy watching movies, browsing or editing your photo collections, or simply want a laptop to work on each day, this is a great value solution and is easy to recommend.
