GIGABYTE GA-P67A-UD7 (rev. 1.0) Pro Reviews

bjorn3d‘s review Edit

The Gigabyte P67A-UD7 is designed for those who plan to run triple-SLI and need the extra PCI Express slots. We would suggest other (cheaper) boards for those who have no need for extra slots. This board is designed as a performance board, and delivers as such.

HardwareZone‘s review Edit

The Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD7 exudes quality, from the 8-layer PCB to the company's use of high-quality components. It is however a tad formulaic and the old-school style of its BIOS strengthens that impression. No doubt, it's not lacking in features, but the overclocking aspect is perhaps not the main focus of this board. With a lower price tag than the ASUS and MSI, it can be a decent choice if stability and features are what you require.

TechSpot‘s review Edit

It's evident that Gigabyte didn't design this board for the typical user and it's probably not intended for the average high-end user either. That's a job for the UD5 or UD4. The P67A-UD7 is the ultimate motherboard for hardcore enthusiasts (read: wealthy). Overall, the Gigabyte premium offering has plenty of everything while it also does everything very well.

The Gigabyte P67A-UD7 is great performing motherboard. It is lacking the new BIOS features found on the ASUS and MSI motherboards. The Gigabyte P67A-UD7 is also lacking any sort of a appreciable desktop overclocking software which is welcomed when overclocking new K series Sandy Bridge processors. For a $300+ motherboard we think you should get the new bells and whistles. If these things don't concern you, and you have no issues working with a somewhat clunky responding BIOS, then the Gigabyte P67A-UD7 will fully fit your enthusiast needs. If you have not used some of the other high end P67 boards out there, I guess you would not know what you are missing.

motherboards‘s review Edit

The P67A-UD7 board is the highest-class board offered to us at launch. GIGABYTE has so many features on this board it is mind-boggling. The already proven USB 3.0 3x Power has been expanded to a total of up to 10 USB 3.0 ports. Up to six SATA 6Gb/second ports can be used on the board as well. 24-Phase Power means that you will have full control over the board’s phases offering high overclocking ability. Performance was in-line with other P67 motherboards and the same CPU, meaning very high indeed. GIGABYTE has done a great job with their first board for the new Sandy Bridge platform. At the end of the day the new P67A-UD7 is an excellent product for the new second generation Core CPUs from Intel, its stable, full of features and has overclocking options that allow easy and simple overclocking even to the beginner user.

GIGABYTE has really listened to users and even press input and made some excellent design changes for this board with improvements in packaging, install DVDs, and also in subtle ways that they have laid out the board. GB has also given into the trend of putting in a large number of phases for their CPU and board power. This in the long run can give you a much more stable platform to overclock from. The P67A-UD7 is a great addition to the line and also an excellent product for Intel's newest CPUs.

pcstats‘s review Edit

Gigabyte has manufactured the GA-P67A-UD7 on an 8-layer PCB, with two 2 ounce copper inner layers that offer improved impedance and signal quality and also reduce EMI. Gigabyte's GA-P67A-UD7 motherboard packs in four physical PCI Express 2.0 x16 videocard slots, two of which operate in x16 mode, two in x8 mode. The board supports 3-way nVidia SLI care of an embedded nVidia NF200 chipset and 3-way AMD CrossfireX for multi-videocard gaming goodness. The GA-P67A-UD7 makes use of the following: 50,000 hour Japanese solid state capacitors (in little metal tins above), the special Driver MOSFET we previously mentioned, Ferrite Core chokes and 2ounce copper PCB.
