ASUS P8P67 DELUXE Pro Reviews

bjorn3d‘s review Edit

Selling at $45 more than the Pro, the P8P67 Deluxe features nice add-ons that advanced overclockers would appreciate. Overall, it's a great board with a good bundle.

In the end, both of the ASUS boards performed, overclocked, and looked extremely great. I can honestly say that if you were to pick up either of the two, you'd be happy. With that being said, it'd be great if ASUS would add the TUF components and the Thermal Armor to the P8P67 Deluxe!

The P8P67 Deluxe is the top-of-the-line model among ASUS's products based on the Intel P67 Express chipset. It offers everything the company endows its mainboards with, such as a deluxe accessories bundle, a reinforced CPU voltage regulator, an integrated Bluetooth module, eSATA and power eSATA ports, back-panel and front-panel USB 3.0 ports, IEEE1394 (FireWire), and two Gigabit Ethernet ports. ASUS EFI BIOS, a very good implementation of the UEFI standard, should also be commended for its abundant fine-tuning options. I didn’t have much luck overclocking my memory modules, but I did reach the maximum CPU frequency with this mainboard.

HEXUS‘s review Edit

ASUS's P8P67 Deluxe is a feature-packed Sandy Bridge motherboard that's well-styled, well laid out and generally a joy to use. The UEFI BIOS is a noteworthy upgrade and the board offers impressive overclocking performance with standard air cooling. Fetching £170 at retail, the board's abundance of features will appeal to those who want to cover all bases. Four USB 3.0 ports, 12 USB 2.0 ports, FireWire, eSATA, quad SATA 6Gbps, dual Gigabit Ethernet, integrated Bluetooth and support for multi-GPU CrossFire or SLI configurations are just some of the highlights.

Asus will be the first to admit that the launch of its motherboards for Intel's Socket 1156 processors fell short of perfection, allowing rivals Gigabyte and MSI to get an early foothold in the market. An outstanding high-end P67 motherboard that justifies its asking price with awesome overclocking and a comprehensive suite of features.

TechSpot‘s review Edit

As the second most expensive board in our roundup, you'd expect the Asus P8P67 Deluxe ($240) to be one of the highest quality P67 motherboards available -- and that's partially true. To highlight its negatives, the P8P67 Deluxe struggles to match the P67 Extreme6 for value and its USB 3.0 ports had the worst write performance we recorded. To redeem itself, Asus' competitor elbowed its way to the top of our application and coding benchmarks, while scoring the highest in our overclocking benchmark with 4692MHz (46MHz ahead of Gigabyte's second place showing and 102MHz ahead of MSI's last place). It also had the best CPU and motherboard temperatures. It's hard to say whether the Asus P8P67 Deluxe is worth another $20 over the Asrock P67 Extreme6 however, maybe only if you plan to overclock heavily.

We love the fact that ASUS has gone "full digital" in this line of motherboards and the P8P67 DELUXE did not disappoint in any way, shape, or form. ASUS' new BIOS is slick to use but the fact that its Turbo EVO overclocking software is so robust, you will likely never need to go into the BIOS beyond initial setup. The bottom line is that it is a solid motherboard and should be on your short list if it has the features you are looking for. Given a bit of time, we will likely see prices come down on this board making it a very solid value.

The P8P67 Deluxe is a great board for ASUS' consumer lineup. As the top of the line for this market segment it performs very well and has a great feature set that is sure to grab the attention of more than a few people looking to pick up a P67 board once the Rev 3 Cougar Point chips begin shipping.

motherboards‘s review Edit

ASUS has really done an outstanding job with their new P8P67 Deluxe motherboard. This board has so many features that it would take a book just to list every feature available to this board. Highlights include the DIGI+ VRM, the DIP2, and BT GO! And many more features too numerous to name here. In terms of performance this board is slightly higher performing than the other boards I’ve tested with the 2600K CPU. Overclocking options abound on the UEFI BIOS and I was able to get the multiplier above 46 on air giving a 4.6GHz overclock without much issue.

When it comes to performance ASUS knows what they are doing. And it seems that they have put that knowledge into the ASUS P8P67 Deluxe! Gaming performance was top notch, especially when we start talking about multi-GPU scaling. We saw nearly a 99% performance gain in CrossFireX in Aliens Vs. Predator. The ASUS P8P67 Deluxe performs great and there is absolutely nothing more I could ask of it!
