ASUS P8H67-M EVO Pro Reviews

pcstats‘s review Edit

Ultimately, the ASUS P8H67-M Evo motherboard is a good foundation for building a well rounded office workstation or HTPC/media PC - Sandy Bridge / LGA1155 processors have a lot to offer in these respects and are powerful enough to meet daily PC needs. While there's really nothing bad about the ASUS P8H67-M Evo board, PCSTATS would instead recommend the Biostar TH67XE which is a much better value at ~$90USD than the relatively expensive ~$133USD ASUS P8H67-M Evo.

hardwaresecrets‘s review Edit

The ASUS P8H67-M EVO is only USD 10 more expensive than the P8H67-M PRO/CSM, but brings far more features: one DisplayPort output, two FireWire ports, one PCI Express x1 slot, one eSATA-300 port, a far better voltage regulator circuit, more refined overclocking options, and the handy “GPU Boost” switch. Therefore, it provides, in our opinion, a better cost/benefit ratio than the P8H67-M PRO/CSM, as both motherboards are clearly targeted to the user who wants to build a small yet powerful PC or a small HTPC, and in both cases we believe users will want as many features as they can get.

motherboards‘s review Edit

ASUS has gone full bore with the Intel Sandy Bridge platform launch with 8 motherboards using the H67 and 8 using the P67 chipsets. The P8H67-M EVO motherboard is an excellent example of the new breed of motherboards with support for CrossfireX using quad GPUs. Pair this motherboard with a powerful Core i7 2600K and pair of Cayman video cards and you have a very powerful system in its own right. The integrated graphics of the GMA HD 3000 have really improved over the previous generation, allowing for Blu-ray playback on the processor and low settings in games for the mainstream and casual gamer. The P8H67-M EVO has all of the display connections you need to attach a new HDTV to your computer. These boards will all be out by this time with their B3 upgrades that eliminate the problems associated with 1st generation P67 motherboards.
