Samsung Galaxy S II Pro Reviews

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

The Samsung Galaxy S II is clearly the smartphone of choice for those who simply want the most power. Its 1.2GHz dual core processor and bold-and-brash 4.3in screen really combine well to create a truly captivating, fast and eye-popping smartphone experience, especially if you like watching video on the move. It's not perfect. with call quality being particularly poor - and we prefer our phones a bit smaller and more ruggedly built, but nonetheless its strengths are so compelling as to still earn a firm recommendation.

MobileBurn‘s review Edit

The Samsung Galaxy S II is the best Android smartphone available on the market today. If you can ignore a few tiny niggles like missing NFC support and some Samsung bloatware, it's darn near perfect otherwise.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

The finest Android smartphone available today, the unlocked Samsung Galaxy S II delivers in almost every way. Thing is, it's so expensive, it almost prices itself out of the market.

Samsung's Galaxy S2 has a beautiful screen, fast and slick interface and great camera. Our main worry with the phone is battery life. The S2 lasted just 17.5 hours in our battery test, a massive step backwards from 29 hours its single-core predecessor managed. This is even worse than HTC's Desire HD, so you'll probably need to carry a micro-USB cable with you to top it up whenever possible. However, if you don’t mind keeping an eye on the charge, it's a superb Android mobile.

Macworld‘s review Edit

TouchWiz 4.0 adds some cool features and functions to the platform, but I feel that it sometimes takes away from the Android experience. There’s also a lot of preloaded content from Samsung on the phone. If you’re into the pure, straightforward Android experience, I would recommend the T-Mobile G2X instead. Like the Galaxy S II, it’s a 4G dual-core phone, but it runs plain Android 2.2 (which I hope will soon be upgraded to Android 2.3).

Geeky Gadgets‘s review Edit

The Samsung Galaxy S II is impressive, what sets it apart from the competition is the impressive Super AMOLED Plus display and its snappy dual core 1.2 GHz processor. If you are in the market for a new smartphone or a new Android device, then we would definitely recommend you take a look at the new Samsung Galaxy S II, we suspect that Samsung’s latest Android handset is going to be even more of a success for the company than the original Galaxy S.

PC Pro‘s review Edit

In short, the Samsung Galaxy S II is good enough to elbow the iPhone 4 roughly aside and grab the crown of the best smartphone on the planet. We’d encourage anyone who’s currently upgrading to push it straight to the top of their shortlist.

Despite a few complaints, the Samsung Galaxy S II hits all the high notes, making the unlocked handset Samsung's most advanced and successful smartphone to date.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

Samsung's Android peak for this season is future-proof not only with its powerful chipset and vivid display, but also with the top-notch connectivity options. You won't find 21Mbps 4G HSPA+, Bluetooth 3.0+HS, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, and MHL port combined in any other Android handset. That's probably because some of these standards are yet to become mainstream, which means that you may not get as much benefit with them right now, but you sure are future-proof. On the whole, we found the Samsung Galaxy S II to be more than a worthy sequel to the handset that set new standards for the high-end Android range, and everything we hoped for.

brighthand‘s review Edit

The Samsung Galaxy S II is a worthy heir of the best-selling smartphone with the Android OS, and it will surely have similar market success due to its impressive features, excellent display, modern and elegant performance, advanced and up-to-date user interface with an abundance of functions. Samsung Galaxy S IIThere's no question this is going to be Samsung's best smartphone, and it will surely satisfy the needs of even the most demanding of users. All the top U.S. wireless carriers offer a version of the original Galaxy S, and it seems likely they will be picking up its newest version later this year.

GSMArena‘s review Edit

The Galaxy S II had more time to prepare for this fight than the Optimus 2X – that’s the price of being the first dual-core smartphone out there. Rushing to be first in the world, the Optimus came out without the latest Android build and without competition, while the Galaxy S II had time to check out its opponents and give its best. A little like cheating, we have to say. But the end result is what counts above everything else.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

The Samsung Galaxy S II is better than any other Android smartphone to have hit the market so far. It has everything you could want and will need and each of those functions it more or less excels at. It’s fast, it’s bright, it’s clear and, joy of joys, that TouchWiz 4.0 UI does not get in the way of a cracking mobile experience.

SlashGear‘s review Edit

Make no mistake, the Samsung Galaxy S II could very well be the best Android smartphone on the market today. Several iPhone users we showed it to said it was the first Android device that could turn their heads from Apple’s range, though the iPhone 5, expected to debut in the latter half of this year, should make for a strong incentive for existing owners to stick with iOS.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

The Samsung Galaxy S II is pleasingly thin and light, and looks great. It's also got a beautiful display. The specs look solid. Stay tuned for a full hands-on look at the Samsung Galaxy S II and more hot phone news out of Barcelona at the 2011 Mobile World Congress.
