Epson Stylus Photo PX660 Pro Reviews

ephotozine‘s review Edit

The Epson Stylus Photo PX660 All in one printer provides a relatively compact solution, giving you some excellent photo prints and high quality scanning all in the one unit. The added bonus of this all in one printer is support for printing CD/DVDs, and the excellent and easy to use on screen menus. Whilst it may not give true black and white prints, I can see this printer / scanner suiting the home user or small office user very well. The silent operation of the scanner is especially impressive and could be of particular interest to home users.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

Skin tones proved a little on the cool side in our tests but, on the whole, the PX660 is a good quality printer at the price.

There are six ink cartridges to maintain but it still came out with fair black text running costs: we calculated 2.4p for a standard black page and 9.6p for a colour one. Both of these are reasonable for an inkjet at this price and photo print costs are also slightly below average.

There are many things to like about the PX660, including – if you stick to the high capacity 'Owl' series cartridges – some of the lowest inkjet running costs available. However, there's no getting away from the initial purchase price, which is simply too high.

ITreviews‘s review Edit

The excellent value Epson Stylus Photo PX660 differs only marginally from its celebrated predecessor, using control touch-screen technology and introducing useful picture enhancing software. But as they both have the same attractively low price point, it's doubtful that you'll need to upgrade your PX650.

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

This is a good, middleweight all-in-one, aimed at the photo enthusiast, rather than the small business customer. It's easy to use and offers interesting extras, such as direct CD/DVD print and touch panel controls. Print quality is on a par with other Epson machines and the print speed is reasonable, though a long, long way off the manufacturer’s claims.
